ON A PIN CUSHION:
The Collected Stories of Mary de Morgan
A Collaboratively Adapted Play
Directed by Dani Wieder and Sarah Ellen Miller
Rhinofest 2020
A girl loses her reflection.
A wooden doll rules a kingdom.
A tree grows hair, as a queen loses hers.
A bride pretends to mourn her grooms - as she wears them around her neck.
"On a Pin Cushion" is an adaptation of the wildly imaginative fairytales of Victorian author Mary de Morgan. Five performers traipse, run, scramble, and sink through de Morgan's story worlds, encountering - in the process - the fairytales that pulse through their own lives.
